2010 Week 15 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

December 16, 2010 by TJ

Week 15 will surely mean you are in the playoffs so congratulations. Or you could be in a consolation bracket simply trying to salvage some pride and finish as best as you can. Either way, you might need some waiver wire help. Let’s take a look at a few players who could help bolster your roster. These players should be available in roughly 50%  or more fantasy leagues. Here are our top 3 (or so) free agent quarterback, running back and wide receiver pickups for the week:

Quarterback

  1. Jason Campbell (Oak) – Campbell had a very nice game last week with over 330 yards passing and a couple of TDs. His Denver matchup suggests a very good one and he should do very well.
  2. Jon Kitna (Dal) – Washington has been beaten up defensively for some time now. Although, most of that damage has been against their poor run defense with Haynesworth out. Still, teams are also throwing on them and Kitna should be able to make enough plays to have a decent return on investment this week.
  3. David Garrard (Ind) – Garrard didn’t make many pass attempts last week, but he converted on half of them for 3 TDs. That’s being efficient. Indy has had a poo run defense and that could play into Garrard’s style perfectly. Mojo will run his heart out and Garrard will pick his spots for big pass plays. Garrard also has been a very good scrambler, just as the NY Giants a few weeks back.

Running Back

  1. Mike Goodsen (Car) – Stewart is starting and getting more carries, but that hasn’t seemed to slow down Goodsen’s production. He could have another good day against Arizona and there is the chance Stewart could re-injure himself.
  2. Tim Hightower (Ari) – He is owned in fewer leagues than you would think. Arizona starts a rookie QB, so Hightower could be in line for lots of touches.
  3. Tashard Choice (Dal) – I know fans are upset over the Vick autograph, but he is still a good play this week. Washington cannot stop the run so start Choice and hope Barber doesn’t get the starting nod.

Wideout/Tight End

  1. Louis Murphy (Oak) – Had a TD last week and on Denver has a great chance to have a very good day.
  2. Kenny Britt (Ten) – Kenny got the nod over Moss last week and had four catches. Expect him to do better this week, and Moss might play decoy this week as well.
  3. Earl Bennett (Chi) – Quickly becoming a guy Cutler likes to throw to, he is as good as a shot as any this week to score. Especially against a very poor Minnesota defense.
